After friends told me of this village night colorful market I jumped into my red beetle just as colorful n drove one n half-hour to the place.
Sure enough it was colorful but challenging. To avoid grains I set ISO to 400 n for steady handheld 1/30s f/2
No grain effect but the hands packing the food blur bcoz they moved too fast.
F/2 at 1/30s gave quite sharp pic except for the fast moving hands. Could not tell him to go slow or even hold on for a pose bcoz time was money for him!
The red tinge color was bcoz of the tungsten light. I let it be so than correct for it to have the natural effect. Sure enough it added a sense of drama! See n enjoy the natural photos unedited!
Winding up for the time being. The best n worst here. Grains shown to enhance fear n seriousness. A”chubby face in the dark.” No grain effect.

In my tropical hot weather setting nice n cool
Around dinner time is best.
A fast lens like f/2 is good n a light compact camera. No flash which distracts. An optimum position to cut down street lamp glare.
No rush. Calm n steady. Join in the food!
Film photoraphy in black & white is fascinating. A good choice of lighting focused on the main subject gives contrast of highlight from the dark areas.
