We are at the start of the year with almost eleven month plus to see control over the virus better as vaccine rolled out but not worst! Unless some untoward events happened Covid-19 should reduced.
Can vaccine be expected to do a miracle?
Penang is one of the six states now inder MCO. The virus has spiked n brought about sooner than expected after testing of foreign workers’ testing started on 1 Jan 2021.
The DG of Health Ministry declared the virus was in the community a couple of days ago. The cases were projected to spike to 5000 in February n 8000 in March. Y’day was 3337 new cases! Private hospitals were recruited to stand-bye to take in Covid-19 patients as the Govt Hospitals were stretched.
Being lockdown the second time. Success could depend on how well the “curcuit breakers” were strictly controlled!
The situation in UK, US, EU n other Asian Countries could be said “worst off.” The year started off badly after the first week which could laid the trend to come as I had said. Sure enough!
Now people hoped next year would be better n had hoped this year better but worst. False hope as the virus unpredictably churned out faster track strain now rampaging on!
Could next year be really better?
Last night the PM of Great Britain lashed out the people taking a natural aphrodisaic from the powder of the scale of anteater pangolin as the source of the enormous deadly Covid-19 outbreak in his country. It would be difficult to understand this source as the virus cause outbreak was given no further data. The report also said the PM angered greater China presumably by pointing to China for this source causing Great Britain the astronomical Covid-19 infections n deaths! These figures have been published n Great Britain was described in a serious suicide water level flooded to its mouth! Where do things go from here. Her old enemy Germany PM Merkel warned if the Great Britain deadly virus strain landed in her country the current outbreak where coffins were being piled up the outbreak in Deutscheland would hit TEN TIMES HIGHER! Shall wait n see!
At this time of writing a sense of no confidence is felt in the management of containing the contagious Covid-19 spread. There seems to be no consistency in calling for set-up of circuit breakers. Some imported cases were home quarantined n some on arrivals from foreign countries were quarantined in hotels. Home quarantine could be opened to abuse. Leakage contact n hence transmission result. There should be consistency in enforcing strict quarantine.
The chief medical officer n his staff in Spore were being vaccinated n he was asked what would be the side effects down the road he did not answer. The question seemed side-tracked. I supposed he might not know himself! In US news media reported a daily record of 4000+ n in a report a pic of some ladies walking nonchalantly towards a large hospital for vaccination. They too could not worry about the side effects weeks, months or years down the road. Safety for this moment was paramount to them living in a virus consuming man world. An economic analyst wrote forcasting Biden would have to bear a depression the virus pandemic has ploughed up for him. Was he sure? Trump still persistent to unseat Biden. No one could say for certain! Until 20 Jan 2021 when Biden installed on the President chair! We live in a great uncertain Covid-19 World!
The virus breaking through the circuit breakers relaxed by man the builder once proven effective. The virus resurgence now brought fear of increasingly daily mounting in infections and deaths! Not in just one place but wherever man became complacent and desired to return to live in his “grandeur of the past days.” First to earn back what livelihood he had lost n more. Second to seek enjoyment that he had yielded unwillingly by the lockdowns. Christmas must be merry but not godly. New year must be happy but now sad! Every country reported to have succumbed to this appetite of wine, merry n happy. The virus too make merry! It got its opening chance n hit contact n multiply leaving mourners behind. It is still going round from country to country like “a mysterious musical merry go-round in the great circus in the town.” Not knowing where it comes from or going. Only for man to search the beginning n end?
The PM declared An Emergency and an all out war against Covid-19 resurgence. Countries like Japan n other SEA smaller countries have done that. Let all peoples in Malaysia work diligently in unison and peace to wipe out the Killer Virus!
