In the Sony Event Portraits Penang the lighting was the window light. Being the only available light the sitting of the model was chosen for the window light to fall on the model to bring out the essential beauty and characteristics of the sitter. The lens was opened at its widest to take care of the available light and so being wide opened has very little depth of field to create all round sharpness. But it does give the soft effect for enhancing the beauty of the model,
